GripBeats® Demo Videos

As you can imagine, there are countless user cases for GripBeats, a device that turns your movements into musical sound. Here are just a few that have been recorded:

GripBeats® For Self-Expression/Exploration

GripBeats® For Kids

GripBeats® For Dance (Concept Video)

The video below is a concept video and for hypothetical purposes only so does not demonstrate the actual described example in practice. By using the GripBeats® Desktop App users can assign their GripBeats®' device's various pressure, rotation and acceleration controls to musical sounds and effects.

In this instance, where the boy in the video does his "drum-kit-hit arm movements", a user could easily assign these to bass drum hits or even synths. Explore our User Articles to explore and pratice these yourselves!

GripBeats® As A Drum Controller

Here is an example of how GripBeats® can be used as a MIDI drum controller in Surface Mode. Through DAW softwares/apps such as Ableton users can assign specific GripBeats® pressure pads to specific drum sounds. Note that the same works with any sound so if you wanted you could use GripBeats® pressure pads as a piano also.

GripBeats® As A Dual MIDI Controller

Notice in this example how one hand (the left hand in this video) can represent the chord changes while the alternate hand (the right hand in this video) can be used as the EQ control, both through predefined dual and even tri-rotational movements.
